Galaxy Coaster

With around 50 units operating worldwide, Galaxy (also spelt Galaxi) is the most mass produced rollercoaster in the world. Galaxy’s were one of many portable steel coaster designs from Italian based SDC in the early 1970’s. This design was also manufactured by Daniele Pinfari.

The Galaxy’s widespread popularity is due to its compact foot-print while offering a relatively long ride of 120 seconds on 335 metres of track with two major dips and a top speed of 50 km / hour. As of 2008 there are 3 Galaxy Coasters in Australia.
