Radar

An even rarer variation of the Turbo, is the Chance Radar. The Radar was originally known as the Raven, and was first built before the Turbo in the late 1960’s.

There were only 5 ever built - three Radars, and two Ravens. The Radar was basically a ferris wheel with both horizontal and vertical movements. Unlike the bulkier Turbo cages, the Radar could be folded up on to a single trailer. Furthermore, it was possible to fit up to 4 adult riders on a single Radar seat. (although not recommended)

As far as I know, production of the Radar was soon stopped due to rider safety concerns. There was one Chance Turbo, which was semi-converted ie. Every second Turbo cage was a Radar seat - thus giving two completely different ride sensations on the one ride (depending on rider choice).

Conversion kits were also available for Turbo owners.
