  2. I’ve ridden a Radar at a small local park that has been defunct since the early 80’s. Willow Mills Amusement park used to operate a Radar. I’d re ride that thing over and over. They were a lot of fun!

  5. When I was a kind in the early 80’s, there was a carnival that came to Natchez, MS that had a Radar. It was the funnest ride that I’ve ever ridden. I’ve often wondered what happened to them. The Ferris wheel, tilt-o-whirl, octopus, and many others are still around; and the Radar was way more thrilling than those.

  6. I shot that picture at the 1976 NY State Fair. Frankie’s East Coast Shows Radar on the Strates Shows midway.
    Also note Frankie’s Paratrooper in the background. The top tub is nearly upside down. Faster trooper I ever saw.
